I've always loved books that endeared me to the main characters, and Lorne, Tony and Charlie have become a true part of my family and friends. Now, I can add Carol to that list. An amazing story, that kept me intrigued right up to the end. It's difficult to write a review without giving spoilers. The motivation for the crimes is one that will hit close to home for many women, and a few men. The need for revenge for real and/or imagined wrongs can become so powerful that it overtakes everything else in your life, consuming you with a rage that can only be satisfied by making someone hurt the way you're hurting. Ms. Comley does a great job of pulling you into the thoughts and emotions of her antagonist.Highly recommended for readers who love character driven fiction. You'll love the family scenes, and if you're a dog lover--you'll love it even more.

Just like her other books, this one keeps you on the edge of your seat. Never a dull moment. Fast reading. Always need to read just one more chapter. Very good.
Can't wait to get to the next book. The writer is the English version of J., A. Jance who is one of my personal best writers.
Book 9 of the Justice Series. This book did not disappoint. How does Mel comes up with the story lines? Makes a person think about retribution to one who wrongs you! Good job!
Another good story in this Justice series. MA Comely does a fine job with police tales. I love the characters and have enjoyed seeing them develop. Getting ready to start on the tenth book.
Same formula gets a little old, but they're still quick, entertaining reads if you like a little mindless brain candy.
As I have previously stated, this whole series is a must read. They are so well written and the relationship between the characters is amazing. I loved each book and couldn't wait to read them all. I think it's best if start with the first book to get the real feel of the characters.
In this book, Katy and Lorne investigate the death of one man and the disappearance of several more. Though I prefer the stories where Lorne was the DI in charge of investigations, I love seeing Katy also in charge. I have one more book to read in the Justice series and I think I will cry when I read the last page. I desperately hope there will be another book coming out soon!
